Hadiyah Sama is an author based in Surrey, England. She has an MA in Creative Writing from Brunel University of London. When not writing, she spends her time reading, and crying over cats and fictional characters.

Hadiyah writes books that feature BIPOC leads, with many books focusing on the recurrent themes of anti-colonialism, resistance, and found family.

Hadiyah’s work had been shortlisted in the Future World’s Prize ‘26, and longlisted in the Caledonia Novel Prize ‘25 and the Times/Chicken House Children’s Novel Competition ‘23. Her work has also made the CNP Top 100 ‘25.
